Named one of 20 Best New Restaurants in America for 2024 By Bon Appetit! In a distant European city, Fabian and Miriam vanished into the Alps, trading their city lives for mountain solitude. Once busy young professionals, their days were consumed by demanding careers, their rare weekends cherished for dining out and dancing, occasionally venturing into the mountains. But destiny intervened when Miriam inherited her grandfather's Alpine hut, nestled amidst the rustic charms of the mountains. They cut ties with the city, forsaking it for good. Days were spent farming, foraging, crafting cheese, and making wine. Nights brought cooking, baking, wine-drinking, and stargazing.Friends from the city visited, but Fabian and Miriam never looked back. They were drawn deeper into the mountains, caught in the Alpenrausch's dual meaning—the exhilaration of mountain air and the intoxication of good company, fine wine, and schnapps.Come experience Alpenrausch!

The food was absolutely amazing--when we left we were all raving about it. We had the chef's tasting menu of numerous courses and they were all esthetically and culinarily superb. Our server, unfortunately, was just OK and had a bit of an attitude--definitely not as friendly and accommodating as the other service staff who assisted us. This is a small place on the South Waterfront but it is definitely worth a trip!

Agh, the Tirol, food made with familiar ingredients combined as the Swiss do from intoxicating mountain peaks. As I have Swiss ancestry I can say the food is frank, and precise even the food comes in peace indeed the coziness of knowing what is simple, say pickled celery. The air might be thin at the mountain top yet here it is sturdy like a mountaineer’s cane with a finish as bright as pears and smoky fish with your own milk pot bubbling with cheese. It’s calming it’s fun it’s a night out full cheer. I’ll budiono that.

We were lucky enough to snag a table at the chef’s counter which is really a curved bar. We had an excellent experience with Ivan recommending half pours with each course. All the food was stellar, especially the sturgeon and duck confit. Don’t miss the orange cake. We love this place!
