Best Historic Restaurants in Back Bay

The manager went out of his way to make our family group of 8 comfortable. He had the loud music turned very low so we could have a conversation. The food was excellent! I had the best steak - 12 oz. prime sirloin perfectly cooked to medium with garlic mashed potatoes and side green salad. Others had wonderful crab cakes and miso glazed bass. At our request we had a table apart from others, but in general the tables are well spaced and the restaurant is spacious.

The food they have is amazing, I do wish they would have more non-alcohol drinks!

Varied menu, 9 people but all food served together and all hot. Everyone appreciated the food from steak and lobster to clams and swordfish. Our server was good enough to rate spectacular. For value and enjoyment, best dining experience we had in vicinity of Copley Place in 4 evenings.

A wonderful lunch! I was on a time crunch due to being at a conference at a neighboring hotel and the server was quick to help me settle my bill when it was time for me to go. I highly recommend the "brunch burger" as a yummy and hearty option (esp. on a windy, rainy, cold day).
