At Scratch they show a respect for their diners from their exemplary service, table settings, written specials and presentation to the quality of the food served. It is also very nice to have a crusty bread service to accompany a meal that by its nature encourages “dipping”. The meal I enjoyed was the cod with cannellini beans along with an order of well seasoned potatoes. While cod can sometimes be bland, this dish was filled with delicious flavors. The waiter had appetizers, pastas,fish,steak specials all memorized and one sounded better than the others. Amazingly good meal cannot wait to go back. Nice wine menu as well. Desserts a must also. We were happy with their special menu choices - escarole bean soup and hamachi crudo ( addictive), short ribs and fluke franchise- both exceptional- and Italian cheesecake and chocolate lava cake with hazelnut gelato for desserts. Great service, lovely surroundings and great wine menu. One of our favorite places to dine!
