Best Healthy Restaurants in Platt Park

We went on a busy night (Valentines) so we were seated at a high charity bar table combo for a sit down dinner. It’s understandable the restaurant had to do this, but if this is done as a regular practice, then I think the diners experience can vary. Overall, the wait staff was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu and was attentive throughout the meal, bringing the next course when it was time. Our server Alyssa also preemptively knew we were sharing our starters and gave us the appropriate number of silver ware and split our soup orders. I would definitely come back again to try the rest of their menu!

Everything from the staff that greeted us to the server & all involved were great and the food was amazing. My wife usually cooks something special for is on Valentines Day but we were traveling to Denver & so I made this reservation. Food was outstanding & a treat for my wife to not have to cook. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Very delicious food and very nice ambiance! Felt the price for the quality of food was definitely fair. We got the Gnocchi, Tempura Mushrooms, Pork Collar, Sweet Potato, Carrots and Candy Bar! All delicious. Would come back and get all of these dishes again aside from the tempura mushrooms. They were good, but just a bit heavy and overly fried.

We enjoy Izakaya Den and understand that it has complex menu choices, which we consider a feature (not a bug). However, our waiter managed to make the menu more confusing rather than easier to navigate. We couldn't tell whether he was trying to "sell" us on items, provide information, or just hear himself talk! He got very far afield on the preparation of Tuna Collar and then discovered that he was describing a totally different dish. He also laid-on a thick layer of jargon, i.e "flavor profiles", etc. instead of speaking with clarity. The experience at Izakaya Den is already very good and didn't need to be embellished with BS. Fortunately, since one in our party has serious allium (onion/garlic) and gluten sensitivities, the order was placed correctly. We'll definitely will return again, and just hope we don't get the same waiter! Yeesh!

Lovely time, as always! The menu has changed a bit (for the better, we think!) over the last few years. The seasonal changes are always interesting. Lots of options for everyone and just a really chill vibe. We had the pleasure of being served by Carla who was so sweet (our friend was chilly from a wintery trek from his car, so she brought him a hot water to wrap his hands around) - so thoughtful! We had a lovely time and will be back.
