Best Seasonal Restaurants in Memphis

We’ve been to Memphis a bunch in the past and found Amelia Gene’s on a recent trip. I will always make a point to come here whenever I visit Memphis again. If you want an outstanding meal, great selection, and unbeatable service, you need to come here. It’s a classy but comfortable setting. Great music playing over speakers but not too loud to where you can’t have a conversation at the table. The building it’s in has been rebuilt from a 1800’s blacksmith’s foundry. Still has some old equipment to keep its heritage. It’s a must visit when you come to Memphis. We got the cheese cart, hummus starter, ravioli (more like onion soup in a lasagna noodle bowl, fabulous). Get the carrot cake! You won’t be disappointed!

We always enjoy The Beauty Shop, but last night was perfection! We split the grilled fruit, which was warm and delicious. Then we both enjoyed the Cod special--it was spectacular! All of this was paired with excellent service. The Beauty Shop is a Memphis gem!

The afternoon tea was amazing! The brown sugar, cranberry cinnamon scones were so good! To top it off, the service provided by Riley, was was absolutely fantastic!!

The atmosphere was upscale. I love the variety at the salad bar. The majority of the meats were very tender, we enjoyed the Portuguese sausage, bacon wrapped chicken, parmesan steak, and the flank steak. The offered sides were delicious I would have liked some sweet tea, being that we are in the south. The rolls lacked flavor and color and I'm not just saying because I'm a trained pastry chef. Overall the table enjoyed the restaurant. Thank you and your great servers.

All of the meals and the service were great. They have an incredible bourbon list also. I had the tenderloin which was so tender and flavorful. My wife enjoyed the chicken and my daughter the red fish. Our server was awesome, very attentive!
