Best Seasonal Restaurants in Kapalua

Wonderful dinner out in Kapalua (we stayed at the Ritz with a <5 min walk). Started with an excellent burrata - we chose the pear and honey - and we enjoyed our fresh pasta dinners. Will return on our next trip back!

Fresh made cocktails, beautiful ambiance. Food was delicious. They had a great vegetarian menu that’s not listed online. Great service.

We enjoy coming back when we visit Maui. The food is great, the location and the view are amazing and the service is always top shelf. This time, we split a salad and I had the Hawaiian Short Rib and my wife enjoyed “The Catch of the Day” Special. Both were excellent. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert topped off the meal in style. Our server was friendly and personable. She shared her story about running marathons which was very impressive. Al in all, we can’t wait to return.

We had a fabulous time and the food was fantastic! Our waiter Tad was knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. The beet salad is delicious! We had the special fish which was moist, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was a preparation I wouldn’t normally choose, but I’m trying to eat healthier and normally lentils with vegetables wouldn’t be my “go to”, but this was so flavorful and satisfying. We also had the ribeye special with the herbed butter. Again, a dish cooked perfectly with wonderful flavors. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever enjoyed! Noah, checked in on us and our meal and was quite engaging and very fun. We enjoyed our meal and the beautiful ambiance of Traverna. It’s not to be missed when on Maui and we will be back soon! Chad was our server. Is was great, very patient and kind. He gave us solid recommendations. We had the tomato burrata salad. Awesome! Then the scallops which were ok. It we didn’t like the sauce. Finally the fresh fish of the day. Opacapaca. That was amazing. For dessert we had the baked Maui. Probably the best desert we have had in a year or more.
