Brock Street’s 3rd Floor Lounge setting is designed as a prohibition style, members’ lounge and cocktail bar. Brock Street was founded by four best friends with a goal of helping to revitalize downtown Whitby, a place they all call home. The Brock Street building is a newly constructed building that opened in 2019. It was built to the historical standards of 1800’s locally inspired architecture and is complete with numerous historical artifacts including horse hitch rings, antique lighting, and reclaimed brick throughout. The building contains a main floor restaurant, 12welve Bistro, a 2nd floor banquet hall, and the 3rd floor, which is home to Whitby’s only rooftop patio.

The Local Cafe and Restaurant was created to offer experiential learning opportunities for our students. The Local is located on Centennial College, Progress Campus. At The Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. Our menus are inspired by the flavour profiles that represent the incredibly rich diversity of those who call Scarborough home.     Went for the Valentines Day Dinner. Service was great, very attentive servers. Food from Valentines menu was amazing. Always love coming here because it has a great vibe. We always sit in the bar area as we prefer that area.

    My family and I really enjoyed the Valentine's Day Brunch. There was a good selection of food and everything found something that was enjoyable. The service was good as well with nice ambiance. Students from the Durham College culinary and hospitality programs work in the restaurant providing a unique experience. Everything went well and I was happy with our visit.

    Fantastic experience! The students here are very talented and show such professionalism that I'd argue that this is the best restaurant in all of Toronto! The menu was superb and the chefs are very skilled at making everything taste delicious. The servers were very kind, informative and attentive. Well done! Hope to see you sometime soon

    The service was great! The waitress and the entire staff attended to our needs which we appreciate! I felt the food was better before. During this recent visit, it felt like the food was lacking alittle bit off. For example, the toffee cake wasn’t warm…it felt like it was microwaved alittle. Our friend chicken sandwiches and truffle fries were good as always. They did mess up the order slightly when they brought our two truffle fries when actually we had one side of truffle fries and the other side was Mac and cheese. However, they corrected the issue quickly. I love the Mac and cheese but as it as a side, I felt like it could’ve been alittle bigger/more portion for an upgrade and for its cost. Other than that, it was good. Not the best as I had in previous visits but it was good overall.

    I’ve been to Brock St twice already in 2025 because I’ve loved it so much. The 12Bistro restaurant on main floor has amazing food, large portions and wait staff was fabulous. The lounge on top floor is always inviting with friendly staff and live musicians on Saturday nights. A great place to bring friends, family or visitors from Toronto and afar.
