Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Nanaimo

My girlfriends and I were together for a special Christmas lunch. You know you can always count on Joe Fortes for great service and great food. There were so many choices on the menu, but we really enjoyed the Cobb salad and the way they mix it for you right at the table. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Everything happens without you thinking about it, so it leaves you time to just enjoy your friends and the food.

We went during happy hour, ordered cocktails followed by a bottle of the Syrah-Grenache. For appetizers we shared pepperoni pizza, fried chicken, hummus with toasted sourdough and beets on a bed of whipped feta. All excellent. PS I wear hearing aids and they accommodated me by putting me us in a quieter area of the restaurant. Much appreciated.

We really enjoyed our meal again. Excellent server. Nice amd warm on a rainy cold day. Noise level was quiet so we could talk easily to each other. Delicious food and wine. Love the decor. It is a warm and inviting space. Highly recommend.

Great staff at Nanaimo, I have been twice in the last 2 weeks, service and food have been excellent both visits.

First time in Vancouver from NJ and I was looking for some good food. This place did not disappoint! From their fresh bread, to the crab bisque, to my filet migñon with Nova Scotia lobster - everything was an experience to taste! Had a lovely time, and my waiter was wonderful, too! Thanks, Eugene!
