Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Merrifield

Corso was really excellent. The menu looked so good that I had a hard time choosing. At our table we had the whipped ricotta which was delicious and great for sharing and the arancini which we all agreed were some of the best we had had in a long time. For the mains we had the scallops and risotto, the mushroom gnocchi, carbonara and the porchetta and white beans. Everyone loved their dishes (with the exception of the carbonara which was the only slight disappointment of the night). The porchetta was especially great. We shared the canoli for dessert and they were a very good sweet end to the dinner but small and maybe not the best value. The 22ox spritzes were a good value, on the other hand.

Everything we ate was amazing. The fried mozzarella and the arancini were so delicious and a great way to start off the meal. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the chicken had such amazing flavor. Service was fast and impeccable. The restaurant had a very comfortable and homey Italian feel, and it was very reasonably priced. 10/10, will be dining again.

I do recommend this place, especially for brunch, but don’t order the cheese plate. Really bad quality.

An excellent local spot to share a fine meal with friends when you seek to blend great conversation with great food. A few minutes reviewing the bill might be well spent as we had a couple of expensive errors (one corrected by staff) on ours. Highly recommended.
