Best Seafood Restaurants in St Ives

Despite living in the area (Hornsby) for decades, we had not been along to this venue. Very glad to have now "discovered" The Fox & Hounds! Yes, a busy (and at capacity) Saturday evening... but the staff were attentive and responsive, even given the high workload. The food quality was very good-excellent! We will happily return!!! Fully recommended! Matthew, the maitre d', helped "make" the evening with his helpful and entertaining guidance.

Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Thank you again to all the team for a memorable dining experience.

Everything is great once we arrived. However, when I called to say we were running late and that two people were last minute cancellations, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. "Would be great for more notice next time." Was her response to me. I had just called to be courteous about the time so was not expecting this at all. We ended up having 5 people dining and the somm and service was great. Just a bit disappointed with the calling situation - especially when I was trying to be polite about us running late. Have heard about this same complaint from other professionals. You'll need to let this person (no idea of her name) know, that this type of behavior is unacceptable - especially when someone calls to politely let you know we are running late. Will be back, but would love for this to be taken on board. Cheers.

All the staff in were so friendly and engaging. Love the decor and lighting that comes through the restaurant, tables are spaced out appropriately as well. The food... honestly, everything that we ordered and came out was perfectly balanced and not bland or too salty. I had the for entree the Panelle Salmon Cavier (eaten in 2 bites... give me more!) and the buratta (very refreshing). For main, ordered their signature squid ink crab tonnarelli (delicious!). The sauce was creamy with the right amount of salt without losing the taste of the crab and sea. perfectly cooked, al dente xx - definitely a place I would like to revisit/eat at again... soon.

The food was exceptional – authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the wood-fired pizza was simply divine. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, and the desserts were the perfect ending to a fantastic evening.
