- TTrishVIPNew Jersey •24 reviews5.0Dined todayTonight was wet and windy in DC. We left our last museum at 5:30pm. Our dinner reservation was not until 7pm. We walked to the restaurant thinking at a min we could dry out and have a pre dinner drink at the bar. When we arrived we explained that we were an hour early for our reservation but without a fuss we were seated immediately. The service was faultless. Our waiter was a bartender doing double duty. He was knowledgeable about the drinks (duhh) and the food and able to answer all of our questions - and my husband asks lots of questions. He oversaw service and was attentive without being bothersome. Our food was delicious. We ordered a variety of foods and were happy with everything we ate. Highly recommended this spot for a great meal with a loved one, good friend or family.More infoLimani - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Southwest Waterfront•4.3

The food was good, and the ambiance offered a perfect, relaxed atmosphere for dining. The only downside was when the bill arrived, a 20% service charge was added, which led me to believe the tip was already included. However, there was a note on the credit card receipt clarifying that the 20% charge wasn’t the tip, which was a bit confusing. It essentially meant we were expected to add an extra 20%, totaling 40% in additional charges on top of the menu prices. Despite this confusion, we had a great time.More infoAlaraPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Georgetown•3.9

The restaurant is cozy, charming and romantic, but had to ding it one star on ambience because there were too many tables for the space making it a bit cramped. Wine choices were somewhat limited, but sommelier guided us to a fantastic wine. Overall an excellent experience and look forward yo returning!More infoIron GatePrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Dupont Circle•4.7
- RrobertVIPWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoMy wife and I dine at Melina almost once a week. The food is consistently good and the service excellent. If we had to find any faults it would be that the menu needs to be revised as the offerings are limited. The "specials" lose their appeal for example after being the same every week. And note that the menu is quite expensive; for example, given the "special" $44 halibut. Notwithstanding these comments, we will continue to dine at Melina as the service (Sean is a wonderful waiter) and quality of the food remains consistently good.More infoMelinaPrice: Expensive• Greek• North Bethesda•4.8
