In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals.     Amazing food! Loved the Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashini. Miso Cod- delicious. Still craving it! Wagyu - so good. I got two ounces - wish I had ordered 3!! The spicy tuna roll- shocking good for a seemingly simple dish. Gracious service. Will definitely go back.

    Valentine’s Day menu was delicious from start to finish. Our server was good, could have been a bit more attentive. He forgot to give me a rose at the start of my dinner. I had to ask for it at the end of our dinner which made me feel a little left out because I saw tables around me getting their rose as they were being seated. I was a little shy to ask for it but I asked the lovely lady who picked up our plates and she apologized on the servers behalf. Other than that small detail, I really enjoyed my first experience at Arya. Me and my partner got the filet minion and New York steak, AMAZING. The hostess were very polite. We arrived early and they offered us a seat at the bar while we waited.. we don’t drink so we just took a seat on the benches at the main entrance, but we truly appreciated the kind gesture. My partner and I will definitely be back to try the regular menu soon. Thank you Arya for a great Valentine’s Day dinner experience.

    osteria is one of the first and best restaurants I ever visited when I moved from the Midwest to the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula the . Food is consistently excellent the service is consistently excellent. I especially appreciated that I could not get a Wi-Fi connection on a publicly available Wi-Fi and the waiter came over and logged me into the restaurant Wi-Fi so that I could get my Uber I really appreciate that

    Evvia is one of my favorite all time restaurants. The food is consistently excellent and the service impeccable. Favorite dishes include the spreads, the Evvia salad, Greek salad, avgolemono soup, anything with lamb and the whole fish. The pasta never disappoints and if you want a hearty dish their moussaka is the very best outside Greece.

    Had dinner on a Thursday night and there was a good amount of customers in the restaurant. The food was good, but waiter was not attentive and never came to check on us after we placed our dinner order so we were not able to order another round of cocktails with our meal.
