- CChiaraSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agomy boyfriend and I went for an anniversary and I was lovely!! they have free valet when you arrive, we walked in and were immediately and warmly greeted by the host. they wished us a happy anniversary and even though we were almost 30 min early they were able to seat us after only 1 min. we got a booth and the ambiance was perfect; cozy low lighting (I could still read the menu though), lots of beautiful wood, and red accents. the entire staff was kind and welcoming. our server was perfect and just what you’d want/expect from an established steak house (professional, knowledgeable, nice, and anticipatory). we got crab cakes as an app (comes with two- very pricy) and the sauce that came with them was delicious (almost a sweet and sour sauce). my bf ordered a martini and it was perfect. I ordered the Paula Shultz and it was sweet and refreshing and yummy. they gave us complimentary warm bread rolls with butter which would have been amazing but they were very salty. same room!! I got the 8oz filet mignon and it was so tender and amazing! I ordered it with garlic mashed potatoes which were also soooo well done!! my bf got the rib eye and it was juicy, tender, and flavorful. the fries that came with his steak were really good and came with ketchup and a fry sauce that I loved. they surprised us with a complimentary crème brûlée for our anniversary and it was incredible (made with real vanilla bean). all in all it was exactly what we wanted; rustic, classic, and delectable!! definitely very expensive but worth it for a special occasion. I can’t wait to return!!More infoRingSide Steakhouse - UptownPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Northwest Portland•4.8
- JJenniferPortland / Oregon •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFlavorful display of beautiful South American tapas style cuisine! Wagyu steak tartare, grilled octopus, and Brandt farms flat iron steak were among some of my favorites. The cocktails are delicious and beautifully garnished! I recommend the sangria! We will definitely be back to try the next “what the chef is eating” lineup!More infoLeChonPrice: Moderate• South American• Southwest Portland•4.9
- EEleanorPortland / Oregon •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI just wrote a glowing review that the app erased due to bad programming. So I’ll try to recreate my enthusiasm. We just had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner at Sushi Kuni. We are regular patrons of this amazing restaurant which is fortunately 3 minutes from our house m. It’s the best sushi place in Metro. Starting with the warm welcome Japanese-style greeting, Kuni has a wonderful vibe that includes service, layout, drinks, and food. The restaurant is divided into four sections that flow together but provide intimacy in each one. There are two bar areas, booths near the entrance, a small dining room with tables, and a booth area in back. These booths are open to the side but have Japanese-style partitions front and back. You can see other patrons but it feels private as well. We choose the excellent craft cocktails but there are sake flights and drinks, and wine/beer. We like the fact that the excellent sushi is complemented by lovely appetizers like eggplant in fish broth and potato croquettes. We have always chosen sushi as an entree but this time had the exquisite black cod in a savory sauce with rice on the side. And the charming Valentine’s Day special dessert with a cake/cookie base and chestnut paste filling, and a candied chestnut on top. For Valentine’s Day there were small pink neon lights that spelled “love.” Service is always impeccable, prompt, and friendly despite the fact that the restaurant was full for the event. The whole vibe on the occasion felt festive and full of happy couples. But it’s always a pleasure to eat at Kuni Sushi. Price is great for the exquisite quality of the food. With our two cocktails, two delicious and generous appetizers, silky savory sliced black cod with side of rice, and darling dessert, our bill came to $84 before tip. Why go anywhere else?More infoSushi KuniPrice: Expensive• Sushi• West Linn•4.8

- KKristopherMinneapolis - St. Paul •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a really memorable dinner with our 12 year old daughter who loved the pizza. The menu variety offered something for everyone. The preparation of the gnocchi (2 large rather than the smaller finger-sized) was a neat and delicious twist and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Our server had spot-on wine recommendations that paired nicely with our meals. Excited for a return visit.More infoNostranaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Southeast Portland•4.7
