Best Wine Bars in Potomac

Had a great experience at The Capital Grille. Our server was friendly, engaging, and actually listened instead of just running through a list of steaks, which made the experience feel more personal. The busser was also on point, and the hosts were welcoming but professional. Everything was well-timed, and the steaks were cooked perfectly, both the filet and dry aged New York strip were excellent. The ambiance feels a bit dated but still cozy and well kept. Overall, great service and perfectly prepared food, definitely worth coming back!

We had the sea bass and the filet with lobster tail, with the shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. The food was delicious, the service was prompt and attentive. Desserts are the shotglass size desserts. We had 8 to choose from and the size is just right to not make you feel guilty about too many calories.

The food & wine were delicious! Our server was outstanding—Avery was engaging and EXACTLY the right balance of attentive but not overbearing. Every need was met, but he left us room to enjoy the meal. I would return based solely on the excellent service. That said, the food was also fantastic. Every order at our table was exactly what we hoped for, cooked just to our request. We will definitely return!

On 01/29/25, I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with friends. I am amazed by the hospitality skills of your phenomenal hostess, Miss Penny. Miss Penny warmly greeted me by name and immediately escorted me to my booth. Miss Penny is truly a gifted hostess who is always professional, personable, and cheerful. Our server, Matthew, provided outstanding service. Matt was professional, friendly, and demonstrated terrific service skills. Our food and beverages were delicious were delicious. We had Klereth as our server. She was outstanding and made our dining experience a pleasure. She really stands out as someone who cares about patrons and the entire dining experience. We felt she made the Capital Grille dining experience the level we expect it to be.
