Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Lake Geneva

I was seated promptly and greeted by my server right away. Coffee is delicious. Crab Benedict featured two nice-sized crab cakes atop really quality English muffins(made in-house?). Eggs poached perfectly medium, and Hollandaise is fresh with just the right amount of lemon. Tricolor potatoes very good. Fruit bowl contained a good variety of melons and berries, all perfectly fresh. My server was attentive without hovering. Very efficient!

Valentine’s cheesecake was the only disappointment. The lighting, the live piano music, the server even recommended a terrific bottle of wine! I got the prime rib prix fix and it was fantastic!!!! 10/10, but feel free to skip out on the valentine’s cheesecake. Although it came with a fresh rose which was fun to take pics with :)

Outstanding food and environment. Fish was outstanding, meat excellent, drinks supurb, environment the best. I am sick of restaurants undercooking meat to "prove" they are sophisticated. "Medium Rare is what "Rare" was 10 years ago. I like it rare to medium rare; but high end restaurants keep pushing it more rare - IMO so they aren't "judged" on being unsophisticated. It's becoming absurd today - for ALL high end restaurants lean in this direction. We need to develop a legit standard.

We have consistently enjoyed our experiences at this establishment. The quality of the food is exceptional, and the service consistently exceeds our expectations. Our preference is to sit at the bar, where Ralph has always provided outstanding care during our visits. On our most recent outing, Danielle attended to us, and she displayed remarkable professionalism and attentiveness. Additionally, the hostesses are commendable, always making an effort to accommodate our seating preferences at the bar. Overall, this restaurant stands out for both its culinary excellence and exemplary service.

We had a really enjoyable experience at the Snow Globes. We chose the clubhouse location and I’m so glad we did. The menu was much more expansive which allowed us to actually have dinner (and not just sharables/snacks like the Lodge offers). The food was so good. The service was great. It’s wasn’t very busy so maybe our service was elevated because of that. We did go on a Friday, which you’d think would be busier (it wasn’t). We did the 7pm time slot as well so that could be why we had more attention. The globe was plenty warm (the temp outside was probably 30). We brought blankets but didn’t need them. My only 2 gripes were that the overhead heater was fixed more on one side of the globe so those sitting underneath it were much warmer than those on the other side of the table. There was another heater underneath the bench on the opposite side of the heater but it didn’t seem to warm up like the overhead heater did. The other gripe was the cost. For 6 of us it was $364 (2 of us were teens). $61/person seems quite high, but I suppose you’re also paying for experience. Perhaps if we didn’t go with scallops ($34) it could have been less expensive. Overall it was still a fun and memorable experience and the quality of the service and food also made the price easier to accept.
