    The food, service and presentation was fantastic and made for a wonderful experience. My only reservation was the dinning area felt a bit congested, and as a result, felt a bit confined and challenging to hear at times. This aspect was unfortunate to an otherwise great experience.

    WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY, (FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE).. IN THE BEGINNING I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL BUT AFTER A VERY SHORT WHILE, IT WAS DEFINITELY A VIBE!! IM A SKINNY BIG GIRL WHO LOVES TO EAT, AND THE FOOD WAS FOODIN BABY!! PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE, DRINKS WERE OK IF YOU LIKED FRUITY DRINKS (SO I STUCK TO SHOTS)!! LEWIS AND THYNIS ( I PRAY THATS THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THE YOUNG LADY NAME) WERE DEFINITELY DOIN THEIR BIG ONE!! GREAT PERSONALITY, VIBE, SERVICE, EVERYTHING!!!     While others have raved about t at The General Store, I had not eaten there in a few years and under new management and chef. Well...it lived up to what I had been told. I had shrimp and grits and outside of New Orleans, they are the best I've ever had. Tender, sweet shrimp and the sauce over the excellent grits was unlike any I have ever tasted on this dish or any other. Unique and scrumptious. My companion had the rack of lamb and loved it. The waitress was friendly and funny and never seemed stressed even though she handled many tables. She did it with aplomb. I think the decor and ambience are better than in past years, but the chairs are not comfortable, probably because they are the kind you would you use in the office break room. Strange, because the wooden tables were most attractive. That said, I can't wait to go back.
