- AAngeloSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have been dining at the Viejas Grove Steakhouse for decades to celebrate various special times, and, as always, this V-Day was excellent in every respect. From the manager to the waitpersons to the food and everything else, we rate it an A++ experience. Why dine anywhere else? We had the lump crabcakes, lobster bisque soup, wedge salad, seabass and beef braised short rib and each was superb. We topped it off with the special dessert for 2 prepared tableside, and without fail, the Grove did not disappoint in any way. Cannot wait for our next visit! It is truly our favorite restaurant.More infoGrove Steakhouse at Viejas CasinoPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Alpine•4.7

We were met at the garden gate and whisked to our booth at the bar by a very charming young man who introduced us to our server who was warm, welcoming and very helpful. The decor is gorgeous, retro, fabulous and cozy all at once. I couldn’t stop looking at all the art and objects curated on the shelves behind the bar. Our drinks arrived and were inspired. The menu is wonderful. We shared the onion tart to start and had the pork chop and filet of sole for our main courses. Both prepared and presented to perfection and so delicious!!The music in the background was a hilarious mix from the eighties and the fizz of conversation from the diners at the bar and surrounding tables added to the atmosphere but was never too loud! I have to mention the bathroom because it was such a treat, but you will have to see for yourself!! Get a reservation if you can! It was worth the wait!! I can’t wait to go back, if I can ever get another reservation!!!!More infoBar CecilPrice: Expensive• Bistro• Palm Springs•4.8
- MMargueriteLos Angeles •18 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoSeneca is the perfect restaurant for a special celebration. I took my good friend there for her birthday and from the moment we were greeted by the smiling hostess until the very end of service, we were treated exceptionally well. The service was extremely professional, yet warm and friendly. The food was phenomenal and we took our time and savored every delicious bite. We never felt rushed, despite it being a very busy night. Our table had a view of San Diego Bay, the airport, and a northwesterly view of the city. It was beautiful. We started with the arancini and scampi, which were both so delicious. We shared two pasta dishes - Cavatelli All Sugo Di Angelo and the Cacio E Pepe. I was a little sad that they changed the style of the Casio E Pepe, it was more like a macaroni & cheese, but was still tasty. The Cavatelli was perfect though! We ordered a dessert and they brought over a complimentary cannoli with a birthday candle for my friend. I highly recommend Seneca to anyone looking for a special place for not only a celebration, but to celebrate a wonderful meal.More infoSenecaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
