Best Vegetarian / Vegan Restaurants in Wilmington

Another great visit to Seabird, one of the best restaurants in Wilmington. This visit was for Brunch, great menu with many local options. We was sitting right away, the restaurant was busy with only one other table sitting empty (not for long), but the restaurant was running smoothly, and we was greeted by our server right away,- The server explained the menu, and pointed out what made some of the dishes extra special. We order coffee (served fresh and hot) right away, and we order our entrees. Both entrees was delivered in 10 minutes, and was delicious! We will be back again soon! What I really love about Restaurant Seabird is that the restaurant is great for so many things…. A drink (or two) at the Bar, many times with a couple of appetizers, for a great casual meal on a weekday, for a nice get together, dressed up a little for Friday or Saturday and of course for Brunch on the weekends…. You will be happy if you visit, I do recommend making a reservation for the dining room, have always been able to get a chair or two at the Bar !

The food was excellently prepared, and the service was great. Very busy because it was the day after Valentine's, but the noise level wasn't too bad for how many people were there.

We enjoyed the Valentine dinner with wine pairings for each of the 5 courses! ❤️ We were seated promptly and our first course was brought to us immediately. Very tasty artisan bread. Each course was timely, however, our sweet waitress mixed up the soup and salad. She caught her mistake and was apologetic. The only food issue were the scallops which were chewy and dry. The overall experience was great but I sort of felt hurried due to the number of patrons who made reservations. We were given the check immediately after the last bite of dessert. No offer of coffee or a digestif. There was a professional photographer but no offer of whether we could see or purchase the photo. She bugged the couple 3 times while one of them was in the bathroom and they finally said, they didn’t want a photo. I love the vibe of The Greenhouse and the creativity of the dishes. I’ll certainly be back!

This was my second time going and everything was great!! We did not have to wait before being seated. The I had the Shrimp Hakka Bowl and my husband had the salmon. I should have gotten the mild spice level because the medium was spicy. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, so they had a special treat for him! The first time, we celebrated my parents’ anniversary and they celebrated them, too! They made our dining experience great and were very attentive to our needs!! I strongly recommend eating at Lime and Lemon, in Jacksonville. I would be interested to know if the other locations have the same service? I guess I’ll have to find out!!
