Best Steak Restaurants in Streeterville

We had a reservation and were immediately seated on the enclosed patio/sidewalk area. Not the greatest atmosphere with plastic chairs, but we could watch pedestrian and auto traffic... and the occasional passing emergency vehicle. Our server Jamie was great, and while our dinner entrees were excellent, we were disappointed with the rolls that preceded our meal. They were appeared to be store-bought and were cold... no point in serving them in a linen-napkin-covered wire basket. There were olive oil and salt and pepper on the table to create a dip -- no Parmesan -- but that was it. We just expected more and remember that the rolls here used to be hot and fresh and the waiter would prepare the dip using freshly ground pepper, not the shaker we were provided. There was also a 3% surcharge added to our bill. If this was mentioned on the menu, we didn't notice it. As a consumer, I hate this practice. We're talking about an increase of less than a dollar per item. Just price your menu correctly and do away with these bogus "surcharges." We won't return as long as this practice continues.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at Joe's! We went there expecting a very special dinner and celebration for our daughter's 21st birthday and it did not disappoint. I'd especially like to point out our service, as service can make or break an experience. Our server was EXCELLENT. He was so attentive, knowledgeable, kind and went out of his way to make sure our daughter felt celebrated. Our daughter also has Celiac Disease, and he was so in step with what she could/could not have even double checking with the kitchen on the squash casserole--which it turned out she could have and was one of the food winners of the night! Joe's is a special restaurant with very high prices, yet when the service and quality of the food were like they were last night, it was priceless to us! Wish I could remember the name of our waiter, as I'd like to thank him again for making our night memorable.

The restaurant was crowded. Yet the noise level was not overpowering. The greeters at the check-in were friendly. Our server, Peter Axelsen was awesome!!! He recommended a mocktail that was the best drink ever. We appreciated the restaurant managers stopping by our table to check on us twice. The food was superb.

Such a fantastic experience like always at any of the RPM restaurants. This was our first time at RPM and it was outstanding! Our waitress, Anna, went above & beyond this evening. We were out celebrating my boyfriend’s promotion and she was very sweet is giving us complimentary champagne and cotton candy for dessert. She gave us great recommendations for our meals. The food was absolutely amazing and we will absolutely be back! I can’t recommend this place or any of the RPM restaurants enough.

Great restaurant. Great food and great service. Everything we took was great. Beer can chicken the burger and the salmon were delicious.
