A small apartment in the heart of Leslieville, one is welcome to come by with their dining partner/ partners (max 6 people) and as I walk you down a gastronomic tour of my culinary experiences, from learning how to make a simple bisque from my father in a minuscule kitchen in Calcutta, therein working at Michelin starred kitchen, Le Gavroche, London at a tender age etc. The evening dishes, approximately six courses, are mostly driven through the dogma of being aware of seasonality and produce and above all technical skills. Every menu is created the morning of the dining experience. Moreover for the curious of hearts, I would be cooking and baking dishes, right in front of you, giving you a true peek into the world of fine dining in top kitchens, somewhat akin to an omakase. All this is in an evening's worth of time spent leisurely drinking and eating delicious meal in great company and hopefully the best story to tell in the foreseeable future.Dietary restrictions kindly message me.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfect. Our server Kenny was wonderful, he was informative and entertaining. All the dishes were fantastic. It’s a beautiful space. We had the Valentine Day fixed menu and it was the greatest steak I’ve ever had in my life. I will absolutely be back to try more from the regular menu. Bravo Lapinou.

The one and only waiter did an absolutely amazing job. He knew the specials menu by heart was able to describe the menu dishes in detail, and provided personal attention to all the diners despite the fact there were so many people coming in. The food was the best. I had the Liver and It was done to better than perfection if that was possible. Strongly suggest getting potatoes either mashed or boiled to soak up the amazing Jus. The fries didn't quite make it and I had to use the bread which was home made and over the top.

Parquet is a great bistro with very competent service, a delicious menu and thoughtful and very approachable wine list. I can strongly recommend the steak frites and the duck confit. Unlike many restaurants the noise level was fine. No one at our table had to yell.

The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. Our waitress was lovely and they made our anniversary special with an anniversary card and dessert plates that had Happy Anniversary on them. A very nice touch.

We came for a birthday celebration. We had some caviar and champagne to start which was excellent with nice presentation. Everything was really sweet the whole way through and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. Only note was when it came time to get our coats, the host was gone so I asked a woman in the office/coat room and she seemed a bit inconvenienced by my request to receive our coats back. Not quite hospitable. Everything else was excellent.
