Best Casual Restaurants in Lower West Side

Our meal at Girl & the Goat was wonderful! The service was friendly and helpful. He knew the menu and ensured our experience delicious. We began our dinner with the naan. The dips served alongside were excellent. Next we enjoyed the chickpea fritters that we crisp with creamy inside, accented by pomegranate. We definitely wanted to try the goat empanadas, and were glad that we did. Our next course that we enjoyed were the wood-fired mussels. The broth was delicious. We ended with the roasted pig face. Our server enticed us with dessert. We finished our meal with the apple hand pie. Overall, we loved this place.

I recently dined at Pizza Portofino, and I was beyond impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, with every bite bursting with fresh, authentic flavors. The pizza had the perfect balance of a crisp crust, rich sauce, and high-quality toppings. What really stood out, though, was the staff—they were amazing! From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly, attentive, and incredibly quick. Our food arrived much faster than expected, and the service was seamless throughout the meal. The food here is amazing!! We order the avocado dip, chorizo queso dip, salchipapas, goat empanadas, salmon ceviche, and steak saltado! Everything was delicious, food exceeded expectations. The ambience and service was great! I felt transported to somewhere warm and out of wintery chicago.

The paella is out of this world. There are so many tapas, you can make a meal out of them! Also, the Sangria is the absolute best I've ever had (I highly recommend the passion fruit sangria!!!)

We like to sit at the bar. Service is really fast and we enjoy splitting a salad and pasta dish. The wines (reds) and cocktails (old fashioneds) are particularly good.
