Best Date Night Restaurants in Snodland

Great food & nice location. Have never got my head around a service charge as percentage to money spent against number of covers (people) @ table dining ⁉️ Basically a couple spending £200 celebrating a special occasion are charged more than a group of 4 spending £160. Although the restaurant has had twice as much work to do for the table of 4 than the couple dining out spoiling themselves. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’ve got nothing against a tip or service charge, but restaurants need to get real with how to charge it, surely it’s based on work carried out for that table ⁉️ So a set fee per head of people ? £5 or £7-50 per person not 12.5% of a bill that’s already generated a bigger profit than someone spending less money. I see it currently as a kind of forfeit for splashing out on a night out ❗️ Is it more difficult & time consuming to serve a bottle of expensive white wine than a bottle of house white? According to service charge it is, even though the restaurant has already taken a larger profit on the expensive wine… Think it’s time to start considering a service charge per head rather then percentage (discretionary or not❗️)….

Delicious set menu lunch served by attentive friendly staff. Perfect place to spend a couple of hours on a wet Saturday afternoon!

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was first class. Definitely going to go back again.

Service was adequate, waitress did not know what the fish was with the fish and chips, and no offer to find out when asked! The curry was nice, but should have come with rice, poppadom and naan bread. The naans turned out to be tortilla wraps! Service was very slow, especially for drinks Restaurant area is tired and needs refreshing
