The owners are Luxembourgish and Australian so the food is representative of that with the European-style street food such as hand-cut, double-cooked chips with Dutch Mayo, Tarte Flambees (French-style pizzas), Belgian Mussels and chips (Moules Frites), Currywurst (chopped Bratwurst with curry ketchup on chips), Farinata (North Italian chickpea pancake), as well as Wagyu beef burgers. My friends and I celebrated my birthday with dinner at Bella Julia Pizzeria, and wondered why we'd not been here before. The food was scrumptious, the service was friendly and thoughtful, and the ambience was chilled and welcoming. We'll be back!

Unfortunately, they were down a chef the evening we were there so some menu items weren't available. That said, the menu is short but that makes life easier. We both had a pasta and rated it highly, al dente pasta was quite special. I was on Dry July and found the non-alcoholic cocktails amongst the best I have had during this most unusual time in my life (no-one believes I am almost over the finish line), will try the real ones next time....I t is advertised as a wine bar but doesn't have a large selection although my Chardonnay guzzling buddy was very happy with his one and only selection! Noise is high and it is small so make sure to book. I think it is a good place to start a night with some good food, decent drinks and then move uptown a little for some action - if that's your persuasion (or, like us, go home early - nothing good happens after 8.30pm in the Valley..)
