What a lovely and surprising find. We were shown to out table straight away. Food was beautiful and excellent value for money. Although there several diners it wasn't noisy. Service was prompt without being intrusive.

It was a very quiet Sunday lunch - perhaps thanks to the Storm Bert flooding- with only two other tables taken, which did little to soften the rather plain atmosphere. The silver lining was that the ‘roast beef’ was two generous slices of a well executed and flavoursome, medium rare beef fillet at a reasonable price compared to many other‘Sunday roasts’. Nicely done roasted potatoes and root veg with well cooked mixed greens and a manageable Yorkshire pudding. Starters were prettily presented, light and fresh - well judged. Puds again well presented and not overwhelming but well balanced.

Just great. Excellent service, food was just a celebration for the taste buds. We sat by the fire for a drink. Ate well and then relaxed back at the fire and the chap managing silently refilled the fire without any need for us to say a thing. Just incredible presentation and relaxing. Definitely be going again. Thank you
