- CClaudineVIPHawaii •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe booked a last minute Valentine’s dinner so got a 4:30 reservation. It was early so not very crowded and at that time there wasn’t much noise, which was great. The food was delish!! Roasted octopus was tender and very tasty. The French onion soup was delicious, a classic representation and the toasted croutons still retained some butteriness. I had their Valentines special Beef Wellington…. What a treat! The pastry puff was crispy and flakey, the meat amazingly tender with a mushroom topping. My husband had the kampachi and was very impressed. We ended with the trio of tartlets which was just a perfect tart and sweet ending. The service was excellent … attentive, but discreet. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will be back!More infoUpstairs at Pier 38Price: Expensive• Steak• Kalihi-Palama•4.6
- KKimHawaii •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOur server/waitress was excellent; very attentive, welcoming and one of the best we've ever had anywhere!! Food was great which is why we keep coming back. The only drawback was the smell where we sat, 2nd booth going towards the kitchen. The booth chair was ripped, the odor from the carpet or kitchen was not pleasant. Just a suggestion that an update/renovation might be needed.More infoBlack Angus Steakhouse - Pearl CityPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Pearl City•4.2
- DDebbieVIPHawaii •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat a gem of a place! Came here for our Valentine's Day Lunch. Ambiance: Feels like you stepped back in time, velvet covered seating, cozy nooks, art deco fixtures and decor. Service: Friendly, welcoming, attentive, helpful, expeditious. Food/Drinks: Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, homemade and different in a good way! We tried the Devils on Horseback, Bao Buns, Tagliatelle Carbonara (fresh pasta) and the Fish & Chips. For dessert we had the Ice Cream Sandwich, for today it was chocolate chip cookies and we chose vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between. Drink menu had many fun and creative choices, nice selection of spirits. Cleanliness: This is the cleanest restaurant I think I have ever been in! Tables are wiped with disposable disinfectant wipes then thrown away. Not the same rag that was used to wipe other tables and who knows what else and is never rinsed. There was no dust to the visible eye, fixtures, furniture, baseboards immaculately clean, no crumbs hiding under the booths, no dust collecting on the AC vents or high light fixtures. Bathrooms tidy and clean. Parking: Street metered parking or with a short walk you can park in a public parking garage or lot. Overall, a wonderful experience! Will definitely be going back to try other menu items!More infoPodmorePrice: Expensive• Comfort Food• Honolulu•4.8
- DDavidHawaii •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWent there two days in a row for lunch, something we do only when a restaurant is exceptional. Over the two meals, we had the seaweed salmon, confit pork belly, miso eggplant, and the bulgogi bebop, plus the chocolate dessert, and the old lady coffee. All were first rate and the young woman server on both days was helpful, fun to talk to, and offered solid recommendations. The decor is understated but the food is first rate. All in all, a five-star experience.More infoO'KimsPrice: Moderate• Korean• Downtown•4.6
