- SStephenAtlanta Metro •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThis was my first time at Yao. I received an email reminder that said the dress code was "business casual". So I bought a new sports jacket for my first date. When I got there, I saw people in jeans so that bothered me that they didn't dress to code and were allowed inside. Anyway, the food was good but a overpriced. It didn't taste any different than if I were to buy it at a cheap chain Chinese restaurant. The meal cost me $170 (after the tip) just for Mongolian beef, calamari, spring rolls, water, tea and a salmon dish with white rice. The waitress was attentive, the staff was professional, the ambiance was pleasant but the music was a little too loud which made conversation a challenging. I probably won't return because I have so many other choices for Chinese food that won't cost an arm and a leg but it's a great place to go if you want to impress your date.More infoYaoPrice: Moderate• Asian• Dunwoody•4.4
- AAngelAtlanta Metro •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWhen planning the perfect Friendsgiving luncheon, my choice was clear: Fogo de Chão in Dunwoody. Some of my girlfriends had never experienced it, which made it a non-negotiable destination. I crafted a strategy for navigating the Churrasco experience—designed to maximize enjoyment without feeling overwhelmed. They didn’t heed my guidance (a lesson they’ll remember next time), but despite that, they were captivated by the charm and culinary excellence Fogo is known for. The Gauchos, ever the epitome of attentive hospitality, delivered an exceptional dining experience. Their timing, precision, and warmth reminded me of what fine dining service truly entails—a rarity in today’s dining landscape. The supporting staff complemented this level of care, ensuring no detail was overlooked. The dining room was bustling, likely filled with holiday office gatherings, which added an energetic buzz to the space. While I hadn’t anticipated the crowd, it only enriched our festive mood. A standout, as always, was the pão de queijo—those irresistible, melt-in-your-mouth cheese rolls. They are dangerously addictive, and I could easily indulge in them by the pound. Fogo de Chão remains a timeless classic for those seeking an elevated yet approachable dining experience. The blend of tradition, impeccable service, and indulgent flavors makes it a perennial favorite, whether for a special occasion or a spontaneous celebration of friendship.More infoFogo de Chao - DunwoodyPrice: Moderate• Brazilian• Dunwoody•4.5
