- JJanetIndiana •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe little igloos were quaint and cozy. Could fit up to 6, but 2-4 is best. They come with a heater so you’re plenty warm without a coat. Great food, great service. Everything was so delicious! Can’t wait until next time.More infojdek at MargauxPrice: Moderate• French• Grand Rapids•4.8
- MMadolynvipGrand Rapids / Western Michigan •57 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe cleaned our plates! The new sorghum pepper fried chicken was great. Our old standard of the honey dusted fried dark meat chicken was, as always, fabulous. We alllll had the collard greens- yummy! I tried the chicken tortilla soup as a side & I can't wait to have it again. Your sweet tea is the best in this area. - TTimothyGrand Rapids / Western Michigan •1 review4.0Dined on Nov 3, 2024I used the online app to make reservations for us, a small group of three, because of the time we would be there would be a peak time. This worked out extremely well because as soon as I arrived my table was ready. Having the menus available online helped remove all the time wasted trying to figure out what I wanted, which allowed more time with the people I was meeting. I'm not a beer drinker, but I have friends who are they love the place because of all the options available. No need to drive to all the pubs and breweries when they are all in one place.More infoHopCat - BeltlinePrice: Moderate• American• Grand Rapids•4.8
- PPatriciaDetroit / Eastern Michigan •45 reviews4.0Dined on Oct 5, 2024Upon deciding to try a local establishment for dinner, Matchbox caught our eye. We knew parking would be an issue, especially in a densely populated neighborhood coupled with little to no parking availability near the restaurant. The walk about 1.5 blocks was invigorating and after our meal was a needed trek. The server was super friendly, but appeared to become totally overwhelmed with the amount of tables which quickly filled her station. Overall, our food was delicious. Simple but very tasty. Seating was an issue for us, as my partner was sticking out in the middle of the walkway in such a way that the distance from. the corner of the bar top and his chair only left wiggle room to pass, He felt 'inundated' with the traffic pattern. If anyone has sat in the first 3-seater row expanded from a 2 seater row on an airplane can attest to the inconvenience and interruptions that occur. Same with this particular table. It appeared to be that other tables were not affected. Would we return - probably - to see if things just might be a bit better.More infoMatchbox Diner and DrinksPrice: Moderate• American• Grand Rapids•4.4
