Best Italian Restaurants in Downtown Windsor

Wonderful experience! After a disastrous Valentine’s Day at another restaurant, my fiancée and I needed a make-up date—and Oak & Reel did not disappoint. They exceeded our expectations and made our evening truly special. From the impeccable attention to detail to the punctual kitchen staff and expert service, every aspect of our experience was unforgettable. We will certainly be back!

Went there for dinner on VAlentine's Day weekend and we had a wonderful experience. We arrived early and our table was already ready. Our Servers Jaylen and Maya made great suggestions for our food and the service was wonderful. Would definitely eat there again and will also recommend to my friends and family

Very cool place puts you in the mind of STK and Komodo. I had the special with the courses. A lot of food for the buck. The shrimp dip was a bit spicy but still very food. I had a rib cap that I barely made it through I was super full. Very nice but the service could be a little bit faster. They had two bartenders that were very attentive but they could have used an extra hand. One thing that really did upset me is I did do a SOLO date but paid like everyone else. By the second course I was asked if I could move to accommodate someone else. Yeah , no. Look into and at that before you seat me. I did come early but I did that out of expectation for it to be busy. Check your seating , check in with your guest before arrival. I had went to candy bar prior and their service was outstanding you know why? They called, they catered, and they delivered before I even came in.

This place is a Detroit classic. We visited on a quiet mid-week night and the service was excellent. We shared the Fritto Mixto Di Pesce alla Italiana appetizer and we both agreed it was excellent (particularly the shrimp). My wife had the Pollo El Barzon and thought it was very good. I had the Kiss Pasta and it was truly outstanding. The sauce on that pasta was absolutely tremendous. We shared a slice of vanilla cake with Limoncello for dessert which we thought was good, but not great (perhaps more Limoncello would be better, from our perspective). Overall, we had a great time and we will return. Thank you El Barzon!
