The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Another amazing meal at The Cat. It's really hard to describe just how perfect our evening was ... the food was so delicious - it just seems to get better and better, and the crab starter from the specials board was so good! The staff, as always, were amazing, perfect with timings and service and always so lovely to chat to. It was also pleasantly busy so the atmosphere was loveley but not noisy. Can't find fault in anything!

Booked a table for dinner during our 1 night stay before our holiday. The restaurant was very quiet and we were seated straight away. We were offered drinks and tap water for the table. The menu was explained including items which were not available. We ordered and food arrived very quickly. It was very tasty and filling. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. I would (and will definitely) be staying and eating here again.
