Opting for the 5-course tasting menu during our visit on Wednesday evening, we were treated to a journey of flavours that were as refined as they were inventive. From the very first bite, it was clear that each plate had been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. It was impossible to pick a favourite dish as every course brought something unique to the table, showcasing a remarkable depth of culinary skill. The service was equally impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, their knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings enhancing the entire experience. The highlight of the evening, however, was our post-dinner conversation with Chef Aktar Islam. I had the tofu curry and it was exceptional. We did have to wait a while but we weren't in a hurry so just enjoyed having a drink until the food appeared. I have eaten here a few times and it never disappoints.

We had a lovely family brunch at Bear, Nottingham. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food & drinks were lovely. It’s our second visit and we will definitely be returning.

Brilliant service. The place itself is a bit tired

Second time at Alora and we tried the Sunday roast. Was the best roast we have ever had. Great value for money and good quantity. Lovely service and made to feel very special (on my birthday). Will definitely be visiting again soon
