Best Romantic Restaurants in West Des Moines

Great food! Everything was extremely good, the lighting, service, drinks all the way down to the last sip. First time coming and will definitely be back again. Only thing I wish that would change was their sides. You can only order sides for the table, not your own. Makes it a bit more pricey, but atleast it was good. I had their Jumbo Shrimp Diablo pasta for the main course, it was divine. But small portion! Hence me stating I wish the sides had an individual option. We ordered their mushrooms for the side and they were so buttery, full of garlic and each one bursted with so much flavor. There was a ton of them! Overall, recommend this place! 10/10. We also ordered their elote dip, which came with homemade tortilla chips. It was cheesy, and delish. Their croquettes were our other tapas (appetizer) & those were so good!! Just some food recommendations!!

Was able to make a last minute reservation here on Valentine’s night. Opentable makes reservation so convenient. Made the reservation, drove five minutes to get there, and were seated in ten minutes. The place was very busy. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was on par with a five star restaurant. I have eaten at a Ruth’s Chris in St. Louis and was not as impressed as I was with this location. Definitely worth a visit.

We were at Fleming’s on Valentine’s Day, so it was busy, but the staff did not seem at all flustered and provided outstanding service! Every person we interacted with was friendly and concerned about enjoyment of the evening, without hovering. The food was excellent, as well, but the service was truly what stood out for us.

This was our second visit and service was good. Food was fabulous tasting. Prices are just right. I requested to be in a place away from a lot of noise or near larger tables occupied by families with kids since we were wanting to celebrate Valentine’s Day quietly. We were in the corner away from others only thing was we were next to the staff going in and out of the kitchen and you could hear their conversation but it was okay. Not too distracting so we did have a nice evening dinner. We will go back again.

We rather enjoy Firebirds. We celebrated my wife’s birthday. Their food is always good. Service good, for the day. Mondays they have half off selection wines which is nice. The prices are slightly high for my liking but apparently not high enough because we keep going back. It’s become a go to for us.
