The staff was just wonderful overall!! From recommendations to portion sizes and explanations of different dishes we were eager to try, 10/10 hospitality. The food was out of this world. We went in blind and everything we selected was so unbelievably flavourful, the timing was perfect, and the presentation was delightful. Considering the amount of variety and the number of dishes we ordered between 4 people, our total ended up being about $45 a head before tax and tip which was beyond reasonable (we were not drinking but their house special was $9.00 pints of Asahi which isn’t bad!) Thank you to all the servers who made our night memorable and the back of house staff who made a wicked meal. Can’t wait to come back.More infoGonzo IzakayaPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Little Italy / College St.•4.8

- JjohnToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe decided to use Winterlicious to try out Aera. First of all the view is amongst the best in North America , overlooking the city with the CN tower and lakes in full view. Truly breathtaking. Our server was highly attentive. We both started with the Beet and Goats Cheese salad which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. My wife had the Salmon Pone Bowl with Edamame, Avocado, Quinoa flavoured with ginger and a delicious sauce. I had the Pork Loin Schnitzel with some of the best roasted potatoes I have ever eaten. The star of the meal however was the Sticky Toffee Pudding which came with praline encrusted ice cream, it scored 20 out of 10. From this first experience we have decided to celebrate our anniversary this year with dinner and some nice wine at Aera and to enjoy the full menu experience. I have had the luck through my career to have eaten at many of the worlds finest restaurants, I do not exaggerate when I say I would place Aera in my top 10 for ambience and quality.
