- KKimmarahNew Jersey •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoMy dining experience was 10/10. I initially don’t even want to go out for V-day because I was not in the mood to deal with long lines and crowds. However. I was told a reservation was made and I would not have to wait, we traveled an hour to the location, pulled up to Valet parking… ready and friendly service. We walked in and was kindly greeted by the host, she was polite and knowledgeable of the menu. She checked us in and with no waiting we were seated, initially I was a little nervous about the seating arrangement (we sat on high tops at the bar) however, I told my fiancé… it’s really the best seat in the house. My waitress came over at a punctual timing, informed us again about the menu, took our drink orders and shared some water for us. The remainder of the evening was magical.. we had crab cakes and beef kabobs for appetizers, shrimp pasta and short rib for entree and churro and square bite (phenomenal if you are lactose, I am!!) for dessert. The blessed us with complimentary champagne upon sitting down(this was a package deal with the V-day menu) it was very good( I was afraid it was going to be cheap and bitter… far from) the drink were top tier, I loved that the waitress has a chance to taste the food and drinks prior to that night so that she could give her opinion on recommendations. This was such a help when making decisions on the drinks.. ( That Dusse HIT!!) ohhhhh, before I forget the music selection and then the live DJ… AMAZING!!! I have never been to this restaurant on a regular night however, I look forward to going there for a regular date night, it really impressed me.More infoHouse 157 Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• Creole / Cajun / Southern• Roselle Park•4.6
- KKeiraNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIn a word—outstanding! This was our second visit to Metropolis, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Maître d' Isaiah, who set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our server Ira was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, offering insight into each dish with enthusiasm that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Chef Sherry's culinary creations were a true work of art—both in taste and presentation. Each bite was a revelation, and the appetizers in particular were nothing short of spectacular. If I could describe it, it was like a celebration of flavors in my mouth— my taste buds were dancing with delight and craving more after every bite. We've dined at top restaurants all over the world- but Metropolis stands out, to us, as one of the best. Chef Sherry, thank you for making this Valentine's truly special. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience!More infoMetropolis by Marcus SamuelssonPrice: Moderate• American• Financial District•4.4

Appetizers we very good too. Coney Island chowder hit the spot & the roasted oysters were delicious. For entrees we had Halibut & Florida grouper. The halibut was a bit underwhelming but my grouper was scrumptious. Our server Harviar was attentive as well as the entire dining room staff. We will be back for sure.More infoSalt Seafood & Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• New Brunswick•4.8

We started with a great waitress katie. 3 of us ordered the short rib barley soup, it came out lukewarm and we had to send it back. good not great. very disappointing on such a cold night, was slight hotter but not hot. 2 of us ordered the wok salmon which was amazing and recommmended by katie. delish!!!! great recommendation. One of us ordered the tuscan shrimp pasta with the pistachio cream also delish and she loved every bite. The fluke was a special that my friend ordered who is a fish lover and a real foodie. It was just not good, definitely not delicious. Very disappointed, would never order again. We all ordered coffee and a a great special dessert, The Cookie Bomb. amazing. Katie made the experience exceptional.More infoDelicious Heights Berkley HeightsPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Berkeley Heights•4.4
