   Truly delicious moules frite, sauteed sole and "fish and frites" made our lunch at Pomme Frite really delicious. Service was a little overwhelmed by an influx of Angelenos escaping wild fires, but the setting is quaint and comfortable in a Greenwich Village kind of way, and the value was really good. All in, for a restaurant we've overlooked in the 13 years we've been coming regularly to Palm Springs, we'll definitely be back.

   Please note, if you are hungry and want to eat soon, you should maybe consider another option. While the food is very good, and well presented, the service is quite slow and sometimes outright lacking. It took about ten minutes before someone even brought water to our table. The table sitting next to us had to ask twice for water before they got any and they asked for bread and never received it. Our waiter seemed to forget we were there. Our main course was not served until almost an hour after we were seated and at no time did the waiter stop by our table to explain or apologize for the delay. This was our second visit in the last few months, both times service was lacking.

   The service is very good. Andre is wonderful, Rest of staff not overly friendly. Prices are very high but food is good, muscles , escargot and frog legs are small but tasty. Seating is on top of each other. One of the busboys bringing out food said “ I only have two hands” when we asked where the frites were….😝they were very stingy with the bread for the $25 snails, giving you only 4 small pieces! And did not come with “beaucoup” du buerre😩

   Pomme Frite continues to be one of my PS favorites and last night was no exception. We had a house guest who hasn’t been there in 20 years and he was very happy. The service is good and the food consistently delicious. It’s never a bad choice.

   Our entire dinner was fantastic. We had the salad lyonnaise, escargot, duck confit, pork shank, tarte tatin and chocolate mousse. The service was very good in a cozy setting. We had a most enjoyable evening.

    One of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs. We make it a point to come here every year we're in town for the film festival. Be sure to make a reservation for this very popular place!
