Our waitress Chrissy was wonderful. The room was full, as everyone needed a reservation due to the Brimfield antiques show, so the waitstaff was working at warp speed. The food was on time and delicious. I had the scrod and my wife had the chicken pot pie. Oh and Don't forget to get the clam chowder. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation in advance. Everyone loves to eat here.

Great place to meet with friends for a nice meal! Quiet adult atmosphere. The sweet rolls and corn bread are very good, the warm homemade potato chips are wonderful. The quiche and salad were good. In previous times I enjoyed the turkey dinner better. Will return in the future.

I’m an art and antique dealer from the South but lived in Boston for college (Pine Manor, now part of BC), and I’ve traveled and eaten all over the world. The night before, we had dinner at Faccia a Faccia on Newbury Street, a thoughtful, layered, flavor-driven meal that was inspiring without being fussy. And yet, I’m not someone who only values fine dining—I will happily eat barbecue from a roadside stand, tacos from a gas station, or brisket from Salt Lick in the Texas Hill Country. I just love good food, wherever it’s made with care. We were so excited to eat at Publick House—we even said, “Let’s eat here all three nights of our trip.” Sadly, the food was flavorless. My chicken had no seasoning, the gravy was watery, the mashed potatoes came without salt or butter, and the vegetables were mushy. “Homemade” chips came with bottled ranch. My friend’s pot roast was dry—we had to ask for extra gravy just to eat it, and I ended up eating her plate instead of mine. The cocktails were flat and overly boozy—no finesse. And the service? Cold and disconnected. No smiles, no check-ins. Our server never asked how things were, even with untouched food and drinks. Then she took my plate while I was still eating—literally mid-bite. No manager. No apology. No care. It was deeply disappointing—and not at all what you’d expect from such a charming setting. We won’t be returning.

We had a great meal at Publick House in Ebeneezer's Tavern. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that served us, but unfortunately I can't. His service was excellent!! If management wants to figure it out it was approx 1PM on Saturday 5/10 when we came to eat. We were celebrating mother's day and my brother's 21st birthday and our service and our food was perfect. I will definitely be back regularly. I had the scrod via my server's recommendation when I couldnt decide between 2 things and it was delicious. LOVE the ambiance and can't wait to be back!!

We were seated right away but had to wait for server to take drink order and return with drinks, waited for another 5-10 minutes for server to take dinner order, and 15-20 minutes to receive our food. The dinner was excellent but we were disappointed with the speed of service given the dining room was less than half full.
