   Really delicious food in a classic New York Italian restaurant. Excellent service with a menu that offer a large selection of classic and unusual meals. If you go, definitely plan on getting the zabaglione for dessert.

   Perfect spot for pre-theatre dinner. I am allergic to gluten and garlic and they were very attentive and we had a wonderful meal.

   Been here before, very rarely is the food off. Tonight was no different. Excellent service, superb meals, all in a wonderful evening.

   Our 2nd visit here and we will be back again. The staff is friendly and efficient. Food is fabulous - 1st visit I had the halibut special, just great. This time the simpler pollo panetone which was delicious and an ample portion. The pistachio cake is excellent. We had a birthday and they provided a candle, singing and complimentary limoncello. :)

   We ate in lots of places during the week we stayed in NYC. We thought this was the best of all of them. The food was excellent.. proper home cooked Italian fare. The service was perfect as was the atmosphere. I'd recommend it very highly looking for an intimate high quality meal

   A decent neighborhood Italian restaurant with reviews that suggested better. The food is good but forgettable (the bruschetta has so much raw onion and raw garlic that we found it inedible, though I think there's going to be someone who thinks it's the best they ever tried because eating an entire head of raw garlic is their fantasy, but... we sent it back). In fairness, it was Sunday night and many restaurants don't have their A-team in the kitchen on a Sunday. The atmosphere is nice, perfectly fine for the price point. The service was aggressive, abrupt, and then hard to flag down when you needed something. Not a winning combination. Overall, given the competition of "little neighborhood Italian place" in NYC, we thought it was a miss, but again, that is partially colored by the fact that we were enthusiastic about the very good previous reviews, and obviously other folks loved it.

    We have been to Nocello many times and we love it. The food is delicious and it’s definitely our go-to dinner spot. That being said, this check was extremely high and we were really unhappy with that. We will still be back but will watch what we order. The “specials” were very expensive.
