   First time at the more upscale 1909 at the Otesaga. It was excellent. The seafood was fresh and deliciously well prepared as was the lamb I got. Service was great. The cocktails were great also. Definitely recommend

   We had an excellent dinner for our birthday celebration. Food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The view of the lake from our table was beautiful. The fireplace and quiet atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff made the evening extra special, including the bartenders at the Hawkeye for our before dinner drinks. Highly recommend!

   We had a delightful afternoon tea in the 1909 room. The food and service were both outstanding. Favorites included the charred carrot humus and the uncrustable. Will hope to book again on our next visit to Cooperstown.

   1909 is a lovely restaurant that we go to regularly. But the meal last evening was not very good. The expensive steak we had was not prepared well and was tough. They were kind enough to cook it more but it did not change the quality. Both my husband and I felt the same. We have noted inconsistency in the food in the past as well. The staff are always attentive and so pleasant. Cocktails are excellent but it will be awhile before we return. It’s a pricey but special place but if we are spending that kind of money and entertaining others there, it’s not acceptable to not have the best food.

   This is our "go to" place here in Cooperstown. A very nice setting, friendly, professional staff, and very good food. When I want to take my wife out to dinner ( instead of cooking, which I'm pretty good at), 1909 is where I want us to go.

   The food and service at 1909 was excellent. Out waitstaff was top notch. I highly recommend the Monkey Bread to start off brunch! Will definitely be back to enjoy again!

   The 1909 was a charming and delicious experience. The Bento Box was awesome! Out waitstaff was excellent and the ambience of the room was very warm and relaxing.
