34 is Chef Emeril Lagasse’s first restaurant dedicated to the cuisine of his Portuguese heritage. He was inspired by his late mother, Hilda, who influenced his interest in cooking when he was a child growing up in Fall River, MA. The 245-seat restaurant is adorned in shades of green – Emeril’s signature color – wood accents and ornate Portuguese tiles. A painting of a rooster, a national Portuguese symbol of good luck, greets guests at the entrance. Once inside, a jamon bar with countertop service and tile-clad DJ booth are focal points of the space. The restaurant celebrates not only the food and design of Portugal but also the sounds, with music from local and touring DJs.

34 is excited to host an intimate dinner with winemaker Joana Maçanita. Joana will guide you through a multi-course experience paired with wines from portfolio of wines. Seating is extremely limited.
In any given year, Joana Maçanita brings more than 60 Portuguese wines to life. Her home winery, Maçanita Vinhos, is in the famed Douro Valley, but she also works with special vineyards all over the country as a consulting winemaker. No matter how far-flung these projects may be, Joana’s core winemaking approach is marked by her unique combination of applied science plus an unwavering devotion to local culture and terroir. Her deep understanding of how and why wine behaves as it does based on its place of origin allows her to commit to working sustainably and with minimal intervention in the winery. Joana firmly believes in listening to what nature communicates in the vineyard, and her winemaking methods are tailored to respect the message received in every site she vinifies.

Restaurant is beautiful. The ham dishes and octopus were amazing. Sadly the seafood paella was undercooked with tremendous amounts of sauce. The Veggie paella was better but still a disappointment.

A group of us (4) went for a birthday dinner. The staff was wonderful, the restaurant is beautiful and very well thought out. The food was great. It is not your typical New Orleans Food, but it is a typical New Orleans Restaurant with amazing food and wonderful time. Done by Emeril and his son and definitely an experience.

Emeril is so talented and it was a treat going to eat with friends. Menu offers shareable tapas style dishes which gives you the opportunity to try many different dishes.
Our waiter explained everything well however he recommended us getting 2 more dishes that we really didn’t need.
The menu, I feel, is not for everyone but if you are adventurous you’ll do well.

It is rare for me to have no complaints about a restaurant and 34 came close to perfection. My only issues were one dish lacked a little salt and we got a number of dishes one after the other to start. It felt overwhelming but everything was paced well after that. Otherwise I can not say enough positive about the food and service. Don’t sleep on the chips, the bacalao shared app, or the desserts. The service was attentive without being intrusive and was insightful and helpful all along the way. We are looking forward to returning.

Our daughter treated us to a gift certificate at 34 for our anniversary. The meal was very good and very authentic - we have visited Portugal and the dishes at 34 are representative of Portuguese cuisine. The service was excellent, and they even treated us to a glass of sparking rose and dessert because it was our anniversary. Very nice, indeed!

We went for happy hour and had an outstanding experience. Their version of an espresso martini was on point. We tried almost all the food on the happy hour menu, our highlights were the coquettes and the steak sandwich. The soup was the only item we did not enjoy but everything else was super flavorful and thoughtful. Bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to come back for dinner!
