I have no idea what A Spot for Joe is like. I booked a table, but they didn't reserve one for me so there wasn't an appropriate place for me to sit, expect outside in the wind and cold.

We were the only table by the time we finished our meal . No clearance of our dishes . We did ask for the music to be turned down and that happened which was really positive. The food was really good and the coffee . The chef? Came over and I asked for tofu which he said no problem . It was tasty .

Good cafe, chairs are not comfy but are funky. The music is too loud for conversation, and the room is very echoey.

On arriving, I smelled a BBQ smell, wood fire outside was producing a strong smell of smoke, left in the laneway to cook,not sure if this is allow by council,if child was walking passed, they could burn their hands if touch! Nice ambiance inside,loved that huge picture on the wall,couldnt stop looking at it. Sat in the booth, not much room between the table and bench seat,luckly I'm not too big of a person as you cannot move the table to adjust to suit a person. Ordered a pulled pork bagel,$15,was okay bit bland on the filling.Asked for pot of tea ,they brought me a small cup with no tea bag in it for me. I think you need to serves pots to paying customers, this tea cup wasn't sufficient for the price. I noticed their cakes were from cake Smith suppler next door. Will try again on another visit.

We loved the food and smoothies and cakes here, and will definitely return. The staff unfortunately seemed stressed and unhappy, which contributed to the vibe of the place, they were trying their best to do a lot of things at once. I hope they all get a pay rise for the awesome work they do and hopefully they feel valued because without them the amazing food wouldn’t have come out. They should be super proud.

Service was not very friendly. Food was yum but portions were very small, especially for the price. We left still hungry. Inside ambience was too loud but outside was fine.
