   Food was tasty -compliments to the chef! Service was satisfactory. We were guests celebrating my wife’s birthday. They asked the occasion on the online booking portal. When we arrived, our waitress asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. We informed her it was my wife’s birthday. She disingenuously exclaimed “oooh you look as beautiful as ever; so no worries about that!” NB: this was our first time ever at the restaurant, and she doesn’t know my wife’s age, so how would she know?! My wife did look fabulous though! -Maybe that’s what she meant to say…? Regardless, no special effort was made to celebrate my wife’s birthday -not even a cookie with a candle in it. I’ve been to way classier and less classy restaurants who make birthday guests feel special… It’s fine if they don’t do this, but then why ask the occasion…? I pampered her anyway, so no loss.

   Great experience. Staff were more than happy to refund the 3rd person who couldn’t make it without an hassle. Very friendly staff and very tasty food.

    Lovely meals, nice time of day before the regulars come in. It was not too noisy. Table requested was provided. The French lady who attended our table was fantastic. You best keep her on! Will dine again. R&N
