   For most of us the food was great, but my son, Who has a gluten and dairy allergy and explicitly told to the staff, he was struck with dairy with his steak and spent tbe next 12 hours in pain and massive discomfort….

   No a bad place, it was so so. Did not meet our expectations. Food was good but presentation was poor. My filet mignon came on a plate with just the filet no garnishing or anything. My husbands swordfish steak was rather a meager portion again no garnishing or anything for a more appealing presentation. The spinach we ordered again was a meager portion for the $13 dollars they charge. Service was nothing to write home about either. The other person in our party had Ahi Tuna on sliced cucumbers which he liked. Overall not a place I yearn to return!!!

   Food was incredible, impecable as always. The level of service did not match the quality of the restaurant. Server was inattentive, never asked how food was or if he could take the plates, just took them away. I forgot my umbrella next to my chair and left the premise, came back 20 min after when I realized I left it and was nowhere to be found.

   Love Abe & Louie’s. The food and service was excellent. We were disappointed that brunch was not being served because I had called ahead and was told it would be.

   It's a solid over all experience. Steaks were superb, the apps that we got were top notch (oysters, little necks) and the sides were likewise great (mushrooms and potatoes au gratin). For Boston, it's a go.

   Food was terrible. Clams casino had so much salt on them we could not eat them. Tomato salad had no dressing. Steak 8 oz filet, I had to scrape the salt of the top of it to eat it. Been going there since they opened and have never had a bad meal until last evening. Overall all the food was so heavy on the salt it was extremely disappointing. Charlie Sarkis would roll over in his grave if he tasted what we got served last evening. Hope they get squared away in the kitchen soon.

   We have been celebrating NYE at Abe and Louies for 15+ years. First when we were dating and now with our 2 kids. The past 3 years have been mediocre and when we got home this year, my husband said "we've given it enough tries, I don't want to do that anymore". Our server this year was just plain rude and ignored us from the moment we sat down. We had to stop him to ask him if we could order a drink, then again to order food. He never came back once our food arrived to check in on us. My husband made eye contact with him and gestured towards his glass (as we wanted a second drink) and he kept walking. I know it's New Years and busy. But it was a 6pm reservation and we are fine with a leisurely meal. For the price and scale of the restaurant, we are justified in expecting a little bit of attention/service! We finally spoke to the host and he took over our table and brought us a free dessert. He was great, attentive and apologetic- he saved the meal but not our tradition.

    Usually, the food is superb. We ordered a filet medium. It was more medium rare. It went back, and they returned it overcooked. It was not the usual.
