This is our third time going back and we’ve been amazed each time. The owner, staff and chefs are welcoming from the beginning to the end. Chef Jae is very knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine as well as culinary art and able to blend flavors, textures, and experiences and ways we’ve never had with other Omakase. I highly recommend this as a date night or get together with friends. They will even help you pair sake with the menu for the night. we will definitely be going back on a regular basis.

We saw this restaurant pop up in Open Table as a date night/experience suggestion and we were excited to try a new Omakase location in LA, especially in the valley. We absolutely LOVED the meal. We tried several fish we hadn't eaten before, and preparations of unagi and tilefish that were new to us. Everything is really thoughtfully designed, the chef prepared everything right in front of us and kept us all entertained, and the wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive. This place is really something special - can't wait to come back in the future! Favorites: the tilefish, fried unagi, chawanmushi, wagyu sushi bite, the quail egg/uni bite, and the dessert! (So basically half the menu for the evening)

Upon entering, Chef Jae gave a very warm welcome. His vibrant personality started our evening off with conversation that was great. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu that they had as well as the drinks. As we began the 18 course menu, Chef Jae would describe every component of the dish and its inspiration. He takes Japanese Omakase and modernize it with a vast variety of textures, profiles, and flavors. I would highly recommend going once. He did mention they will change the menu monthly and thus I would have to save at least once a month if you really enjoy fine dining with a great host and chef.

Chef Jae was very friendly and welcoming at our omakase experience. There was always a story telling about each item on the menu and the staff was extremely attentive to all patrons. It was the seasoning used for each dish that made it different for me from a traditional omakase and was pleasantly surprised by it. I would definitely suggest people to try it. Park in the back if you can as the front will require payment on the meter if you are there before 8 pm.
