   We try to stop in if we are heading to Sacramento. It was a rainy Sunday and the super gooey grilled cheese and soup was perfect! The service is always attentive and responsive

   I made a reservation thinking I was going to be there at one time but we were able to arrive much earlier so I called the restaurant. Pam was very accommodating and said it would be no problem. When we arrived I expected an almost empty restaurant because Pam was so accommodating over the phone when told we would be arriving much earlier. To my surprise the restaurant was very busy. When we walked in the door I saw a table with a “reserved” sign on it. Because the restaurant was so busy, I didn’t think it could be our table, but sure enough it was our table. We had three different people waiting on us (including Pam) and the staff could not have been nicer (I wish I had asked the two other servers their names). The food and drinks were delicious. It was really one of my best experiences at a restaurant ever and I’ve been to many restaurants from “down home” to “very fancy”. You can find good food and good service in a lot of places but I found my last experience at Alaro in my top 10 of all time. Great job Alaro!

   Alaro’s is one of our favorite restaurants. It was a special night and Annette the owner made it more special by taking the time to read my comment in OpenTable and accommodating my request. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend you try it! Thank you Alaro!

   Casual environment with great selection of beers and a menu with many comfort food options. They offer generous flights of beers and let you choose those you wish to try. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was very good. Would recommend the veggie burger and the fish and chips.

   Alaro served an octopus dish that for me ranks in my top 3 dining experiences ( the other 2 were in Vancouver BC and Paris France). It was flavorful, nicely presented and cooked to perfection! The wait staff made our dinner memorable! Thank you!!

   This Sunday brunch was one of the more enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the welcome at the door when we arrived to our chat with the owners, as we left, the service was exceptionally personal and professional at the same time. We felt welcomed and valued as guests. The food was absolutely incredible! I felt encouraged to try different things I was rewarded with delicious experiences. I WILL definitely become a regular. Mad props to the entire crew for making this kid (senior OG) from the wrong side of the tracks feel special.

    We’ve been enjoying Alaro since they took over the old Rubicon location. I would describe Alaro as sophisticated, yet casual. We love bringing my parents here. On this visit, we brought them and my best friend who was visiting from NY and absolutely left impressed. The food is always well made and delicious. The beer is excellent - solid red. Hogs and Rocks is my favorite dish. The chocolate soft serve is decadent in flavor, light in texture. I love this place.
