    We were lucky to be able to secure a table after a day out walking in the hills,we looked for somewhere to eat on the way back to our holiday cottage and The Allanton Inn fitted the bill. Very friendly staff and service,good real ale and absolutely superb food! The belly pork stuffed with haggis was amazing as were the honey and chilli roasted carrots. All in all very enjoyable and a nice friendly atmosphere from both staff and local drinkers. Will definitely return. 10/10

    Really delicious meal. We all had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. Good choice of dessert. Very friendly and welcoming.
