Extremely bad experience when we went there for Valentine’s Day in 2025. The kitchen was terribly slow. After we ordered the food, the main course didn’t come to the table until 1 hour 15 mins later. We followed up with the server 4 times and everytime we were told that everyone was waiting for the food as well and there’s nothing they can do about it. Indeed that’s the truth, 9 out of the 10 tables around us got no food on the table after we all have been sitting there for over an hour. We got to the restaurant at 7:20pm, and the food didn’t come until almost 9pm. My toddler was starving and I asked the server if they can at least give us some bread to fill the stomach while waiting. After another 20 mins, she finally came back to give us a plate of left over overbaked bread that was crunchy and hard as rocks, and she apologized and said that’s the only bread they have left for now. When the main course came, the portion was so small and we were all still starving after the dinner. We decided to just leave and eat another round of food at home. This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had and I would not recommend anyone to go there

Corinna was our server and bartender - she was attentive and fun to interact with and made my husband's Manhattan just the way he likes it. I had one of best beet salads ever along with the duck breast. My husband had the French onion soup and filet mignon with wild mushroom risotto. We were very happy with all of our choices. The Landmark Pinot Noir was a perfect compliment to both of our meals. They were doing a bit of remodeling so it was a bit noisy at times, but the staff told us about it prior to our meal. All in all, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back when looking to dine in Alameda.

TLDR - Food, cocktails and service were really good! Ambience is really cool as well! We tried the Bolognese, burger, beet salad, French onion soup, and the sourdough chive biscuits. Everything tasted amazing and the food came out within a reasonable time. All staff and servers we interacted with were very friendly and helpful! Cocktails we tried were really good as well -- the signature cocktail menu was limited so I think to elevate this place to the next level it would be cool to see more fun cocktail options! Of course they can make any classic cocktail but personally I love to try cocktails curated by a restaurant or bar that are unique to them! The outdoor patio is so cute and well decorated -- would love to come back when the weather is warmer and sit outside. We sat in the main dining room this time which was comfortable. Overall great experience and would definitely eat here again!

At today's prices and given that we go out to a nice dinner less frequently than in the Before Times, a meal like this has to be near perfection. It wasn't. The oysters were not flavorful (if they can't find excellent oysters, just don't put them on the menu that day) and the biscuits were overcooked. The soup, salad and entrees had good flavors. However, my steak was overcooked and I had to send it back. The best item really was the cocktail. Our poor server was handling the entire dining room and mixing drinks by herself. And there was no busser. Someone called off work last night. She did her best, but overall, they had to knock it out of the park and they didn't. With so many choices in the East Bay and us dining out less frequently, we'll never go back.

A friend and I were celebrating her birthday. We split a delicious warm toasted beet salad. That salad with an added protein would make a filling and delicious meal by itself. She ordered salmon and I had the Duroc pork chop. Both entrees were terrific. The service was top notch, and our server answered all our questions. At one point the volume of the music was turned a bit high for conversation, but it was lowered quickly after we mentioned it to our server. All in all, the meal was a wonderful experience. I will start dining there more often!

The cheese platter was clearly a dessert item that was listed under appetizers for some reason. Half the platter was covered in marmalade and honeycomb. Tomahawk steak came out medium well instead of medium rare as requested and had to be sent back. Was not willing to wait another 40 minutes for another well done steak so that concluded the meal. Side salad was served at the same time as the steak. Waitress did not know answers to basic menu questions (how much does steak weigh, etc) Wife’s salmon dish was $35 for a piece of salmon barely the size of a deck of cards. Would not come here again. Absolutely awful.

beet salads were quite good; desserts especially so. Wait staff friendly but not obtrusive.
