    Alpenrose is a wonderful spot in the center of Vail Village. The food is outstanding and the ambiance is charming and perfect for an enchanting evening. Pretzels, fondue and schnitzel are some of our favorites on the menu. Always a great time!

    Excellent meal and great ambiance reminds of times in Germany and Switzerland. Great vibe and excellent service. The meal offering is very authentic and true to my experience in Europe. Authentic but not kitschy. Even after the Covid challenges, Alpenrose continues to shine in Vail! Highly recommend!

    I would have preferred an inside table. Out on the “patio,” it was too chilly. And the bench, instead of a chair with a back, was uncomfortable. Ambience & wait staff were terrific. Food (& its presentation) were also great! It is one of our favorite restaurants in Vail! Don’t miss the pretzel & the fondue!

    I’m sorry to write this, as this place has been one of the most atmospheric and beautifully detailed spots we’ve cherished for over three years. The food was always so incredible that it left us wanting to savor every bite and lick our plates clean. Unfortunately, today’s experience fell short of those high standards. Some of our favorite fish dishes were no longer available, and while the presentation of the food was stunning as always, the flavors didn’t match the expectations set by previous visits. We ended up leaving some dishes, and a few were even returned—but disappointingly, they weren’t removed from the bill. That said, the ambiance, service, and plating remain excellent, which we truly appreciate. We sincerely hope that the quality we’ve come to love will be restored so that we, and other loyal guests, can continue to leave satisfied and delighted. Wishing you the best in maintaining the exceptional standard that made this place so special
