We serve simple tasty home-style cuisine with hearty goulash, dumpling specialties, Kässpätzle and a savoury snack plate as well as a sweet finish with a selection of traditional Alpine desserts like Marillenknödel, Dampfnudeln, Palatschinken or apple strudel.
For families and get-togethers with friends try our Walliser tomato fondue at long, comfy family tables and for our little one's we offer a special kid's menu.

    Place is lovely and the hostess was very accommodating when we showed up a little early and it was able to seat us quickly. The drinks were delicious, the mulled wine with the rum soaked sugar cube is a must! Pretzel was good, pea soup was outstanding, and everything else was pretty mediocre. The spetzle was a little bland.  Definitely a cute place to dine if you’re in Vail.

    Alpenrose was just as charming as I imagined! Friendly servers, great decor and ambiance and great food! We shared the fondue appetizer-very tasty with a good flavor (not too strong but authentic!) as well as the schnitzel, a couple house salads (a great salad actually) and the apfel strudel. Everything was delicious, it’s a bit pricey for what it is but still worth the experience.

    Sitting inside is much warmer and cozy - I would have preferred the inside instead of covered patio .

    This restaurant looks straight out of a fairy tale! The food was tasty, unique, and the presentation was incredible!! Such a special dining experience!

    We have been coming here for years. The food, the presentation, the service is outstanding! It’s our favorite restaurant in Vail Village. I cannot recommend it enough. The food presentation is incredible. It’s all artistic and beautiful on top of the food being outstanding itself.
