   Had a reservation for New Year's Eve which had been booked in advance. Despite open seats in main restaurant, my wife and I were seated in a small/tight booth in the bar area. Ordered Chicken Parm (due to unexpected menu adjustments) which was beyond disappointing - two massive slabs of dry chicken which you might expect to see in an old New Jersey Diner. At least the server took the Chicken Parm off the bill since I only had a couple of bites. Not at all what we were expecting and wish we had booked something downtown.

   We really enjoyed our cocktails before (Old Fashioned and Manhattan). Brussels sprouts were fantastic. We ordered 3 half portions of different pastas - Bucatini, Lumache, and Pappadelle - all were excellent. We ordered dessert, the chocolate torte, but after the order was put in, our server came back and said they were out of it. We did not order anything in its place. Very nice experience, this was our second time to this location and we will go again.

   This was our second time at Alta Via and it was a disappointment. The highlight was the fig toast, but otherwise we were let down. Both our drinks and main course took exceptionally long to receive. We waited close to an hour for our pasta dishes to arrive. Upon arrival, the pasta was bizarre. Some pieces were cooked perfectly, while others were a gummy mess. We’d waited so long that we didn’t want to have to wait for more. On top of that, we asked to box up one of our leftovers that was cooked well and they got thrown away. The staff were at least nice enough to make a fresh batch, but it meant more waiting.
