The waitress was not friendly. Lomo Saltado beef was chewy and bland without the juice from the saltado and there was not enough juice. It was served with potato pieces instead of French fries which I did not enjoy. The tomato pieces were too big and there were not enough of them. The fish in the ceviche was chewy and again it needed more juice and marination. The salvation was the crab causa and the desserts: churro sandwich and the chicha crème brûlée. I was looking forward to trying Altamirano and was disappointed.

The food was really amazing! Each first-bite was an instant “mmmmmm wow!” We opted to go for multiple appetizers like a tapas style dinner, and that was an awesome and fun decision. The drinks were also really delicious.

I have been here twice now and absolutely love it. The food is delicious. The appetizers are just so good and I’ve had the Osso Buco twice. It is so tender and delicious one of the best pork dishes around. The staff is super friendly. The place is super clean. We usually sit in the back room that has an outdoor feeling that we love. I will bring many more guests to this restaurant in the future highly recommend.!

Had a great outing on Sunday night Beautifully appointed restaurant, very nice service, almost outstanding food (with exception of chicken stew where we could not find much chicken). Our favorites were esplanades, crab and baby pork ribs for appetizer and octopus and pork for the main dish. This was the most tender and juicy octopus we ever tried. Definitely will return !!!

We had the tuna ceviche, a few pisco sour and adjacent cocktails (including a smoky one that was presented excellently!), the bao bun dish, the Thai salmon, pork and potatoes gratin, and steak. Overall, the drinks were good, but not great. The food was good, but the flavor profiles were very mild. Overall, nothing really stood out and with the price point, it’s hard to give this place a good rating. The space is pretty, and the staff was accommodating, so if you’re looking to go somewhere to feel cool, maybe this is it. If you’re looking for top notch food and drink, there are other places in the City to try, especially dropping >$100/person. Oh! Also it was very loud, and that’s after asking for a quieter table (which they were so kind and found us one). Still, the noise level is very high.

This was our first time to try this restaurant. The interior is beautiful and sitting in a booth gives some privacy. Peruvian food is new to us, but the waiter's recommendations were all delicious. The noise level ramped up as the evening progressed, but not enough to make conversation difficult. We'll be back again to try different dishes on the menu.

Maya was such a wonderful, bilingual server! She made our visiting parents feel so welcome, which was the cherry on top of the delish sundae that is Altamirano, with its stunning decor, very special menu, and convenient location in our neighborhood (with ample, easy parking across the street). We are are already becoming regulars!
