   This was our first visit to Amelia’s. The place is small but decorated well. The menu has a large variety of Mexican dishes including all day breakfast. We had street tacos, chile rellenos, and quesobirria. Everything had great flavors. We enjoyed it all enough to know we will be back again soon!!!

   Jose Contreras has shared his grandmother’s home cooking with his customers. The seafood in the mocajete dinners is so fresh and deliciously prepared. Our server, Mario , remembered us from past visits and was very helpful. This has moved to my top two fave Mexican restaurants in Tucson along with Tumerico.

   Decent but can't say it lives up to the hype. Margaritas on the sweet side; chips were a little stale; birria was a little bland and very greasy.

   The food was very good and service was fine. The music was too loud. They charge an automatic 20% tip for large parties that was not obvious on the mobile check out. Our party was only 6 people so I was caught of guard thinking it was not a large party and ended up tipping an additional 20%.

   They sat us 45 minutes late for our reservation. Food was terrible and came out at different times. There was a hair in the fajitas. Tasteless beans. Very loud.

   We love the food at Amelia’s! The servings are large, so there is extra to take home. The birria is my favorite, but my husband plans to order pozole. For take out whenever he feels like soup. The noise level makes it very difficult to hear in the restaurant and it’s a little crowded. There is a small outdoor patio and when we sat there we could hear each other.

   The Birria Taco/Ramen soup dish was excellent and very flavorful. Luckily we made reservations on OpenTable as there was a long wait for those who didn't. We were seated right on time. Be prepared to wait for a while as we came in with a bunch of other diners at the same time so our food took awhile to get to us. We would definitely come back as we want to sample their other dishes, especially their breakfast items. The value for what you get is worth it. Paying was very easy, the waiters come to you with their card scanners so everything is handled right at your table. I highly recommend the restaurant.

    We had a wonderful experience! We were so pleased and comforted to experience the flavors we did especially in this location. It was true to its story and we definitely appreciated it. We will be back and with friends and family so they too can experience everything that comes with this location.
